Blabbermouth.net – All that is old is new again. Spinal Tap is recording new material for the first time since, as the Beatles put it . . . “Twenty Years Ago today”. Or something like that.
Anyhow, the ‘Tap are reportedly recording “Warmer Than Hell” which has only been performed once, at the Live Earth festival in Wembley Stadium, London. And some other stuff, I’m hoping – otherwise it’s liable to be a short EP. Not that I wouldn’t put it past them.
In related news, legendary thrashers Forbidden are also reportedly in the studio, working up their first new release since 1997. Not familiar with these guys? Well, you should be! Imagine if Metallica hadn’t become famous, or rich. . . or. . . ok, you get the picture. Forbidden is proof that just being old doesn’t necessarily mean you gotta suck. Here is ‘Infinite’ off of Youtube.
